| About: | Prof. Dr. Ruben Safrastyan (67) is a Full Member of the Armenian National Academy of Sciences. His area of specialization includes Middle Eastern, Turkish, and Geopolitical and Genocide Studies, as well as World and Modern History. He is the receiver of Humboldt (Ruhr University, Germany), Fulbright (UC Berkeley, US), and International Policy (CEU, Hungary) senior fellowships. In the past, he served as the Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Armenian National Academy of Sciences and Holder of a Chair of World History, as well as a senior diplomat and Deputy Director of the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia. |
