About: I am a lawyer, a Barrister, called to the bar of England and Wales. I am also an Advocate of the Dhaka District and Sessions Judge’s Court. I am currently working in a law firm in Bangladesh. I have extensive editorial experience with professionals, and student led journals. I have recently been a Senior Article Editor of The City Law Review, UK, and a Research Fellow at Facts and Norms. I have conducted diverse and extensive legal research for reports, opinions, and litigation including on: bail matters, sub-judice, information communication technology laws in Bangladesh with regards to curbing free speech, comparative laws on information technology in India, torture in custody, disability laws in Bangladesh and the UK, forceful eviction of slum dwellers, civil society organisations in Bangladesh, passport seizure, and retention of seized goods during investigation, defamation, copyrights laws, child labour, fire safety, labour rights, child marriage, and transgender rights in Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. I am a co-founder of No Passport Voice, a non-profit working for women, children, and gender rights.
