| About: | Sr Dr. Mohd Saidin Misnan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Quantity Surveying, Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying (FBES), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He holds a Bachelor Degree (Quantity Surveying) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Master of Science (Project Management) from Universiti Sains Malaysia and obtained his PhD (Facilities Management) from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He has 29 years of experience as an academician, especially lecturing in construction technology, professional practice and project management. He is a Consultant Quantity Surveyor, Board of Quantity Surveyor, Malaysia (BQSM), Member Royal Institutions of Surveyor, Malaysia (RISM), (Profesional Surveyor), Chartered Surveyor, Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyor (RICS, UK), Member, Institute of Value Management, Malaysia (IVMM) and a HRDF Certified Trainer. He is currently a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor (HSEA), and was previously a Lab Manager and Safety and Health Officer (SHO), Facility Manager and IT Manager at the Faculty of Built Environment and Surveying. He is also supervising numerous postgraduate research students at the Masters and PhD level. He was the recipient of the Canselor Award in 2009 for his PhD studies. Over the years since 1997, he has active conducted many short courses to the industries in the area of construction entrepreneurship, project management, safety and health management, facilities dan human resource in construction, project estimating and building maintenance. His areas of specialisation include construction project management, construction sociology, construction safety, building construction forensic, facilities and infrastructure management and quantity surveying practice. Sr Dr. Mohd Saidin Misnan also involves in various consultancy projects as Consultant Quantity Surveyor for government and private projects. |
