About: Dr. Samuel Prem Mathi Maran, Director of G.S.Gill Research Institute (www.gsgillresearchinstitute.com) completed his Masters degree in Biology (Gold Medalist) , Master of Philosophy in Toxicology and Doctor of Philosophy in Entomology . He is due to get his Doctor of Science in Phytochemistry. Dr.Prem is having 22 years of experience in the field of Chemical Ecology, insect plant interactions, botanical pesticides and integrated pest management. Dr.Prem has developed few processes of making nano emulsion based botanical pesticides which are patented and commercialized and positioned them in the national and international markets. The products include pest controllers, disease controllers, biostimulants, foliar fertilizers, granular fertilizers. All the products conform to USDA, EU and Swiss norms of Organic Agriculture Inputs. Dr.Prem has developed Artificial Intelligence based Integrated Pest Management System, which is in the process of patenting. Dr.Prem is the Associate Editor in three international journals. Dr.Prem is Visiting Faculty in a few Indian universities, handling classes for M.Tech (Biotech) students. He is Doctoral Committee member in two Indian Universities. Dr.Prem has authored two books and having two patents. Dr.Prem is the recipient of prestigious Sir J.C.Bose Memorial Award for the year 2020. Dr. Prem’s other areas of expertise in HPLC and HPTLC analysis of phytochemicals, Process validation, pesticides formulation technology and biological assays.
