Abstract:
The emergence of remote work has significantly transformed traditional workplace structures and has reshaped employees’ experiences regarding work-life balance. With advancements in digital technologies and communication platforms, organizations across the globe are increasingly adopting remote and hybrid working models. While remote work provides flexibility and autonomy, it also presents challenges related to blurred boundaries between work and personal life. The present study examines the changing dynamics of work-life balance in the era of remote work and analyzes how remote working arrangements influence employee satisfaction, productivity, and well-being. The study adopts a quantitative research approach using structured questionnaires distributed among employees working in remote and hybrid environments. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using convenience sampling. The findings reveal a strong positive relationship between remote work flexibility and work-life balance. Employees experiencing higher levels of flexibility reported greater job satisfaction and improved well-being. However, challenges such as digital fatigue, increased workload, and difficulty maintaining work boundaries were also identified. The study concludes that organizations must implement effective remote work policies, encourage flexible scheduling, and promote employee well-being programs to ensure sustainable work-life balance in digital work environments.
