About: Dr Shikha Thakur is a doctorate in Forest Pathology from Forest Research Institute, Dehradun, Uttarakhand and a master are in Microbiology from Gurukul Kangri Vishwavidhyalaya, Haridwar, Uttarakhand and holds about 11 years of crude experience in the field of research and academics. Presently working as a HOD cum Assistant Professor at Uttaranchal College of Biomedical Science and Hospital, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. She has expertise in the characterisation of plant pathogens, fungi, bacteria, plant microbiome, host-pathogen interaction, soil-borne fungal phytopathogens, foliar pathogens and their control through fungal antagonists, biocontrol formulations, biofumigation. She has about 17 publications in international and national journals, including one book and 2 book chapters published under Kumaoun Central University and the Indian Phytopathological Society. She has guided two undergraduate and one postgraduate student and helped in writing dissertation reports. Aside from this, she has been an invited speaker and presenter at national, and international conferences, seminars and workshops and is an active member of scientific societies including the Indian Science Congress Association, the Indian Phytopathological Society, the Asian Council of Science Editors, The Society of African Journal Editors, Research Gate and Slide Share. She is also serving as an active advisory, and editorial board member for 14 and as a reviewer for 25 international and national journals. During her PhD tenure she has reported new findings as well. She is also actively association with the field of nutrition and doing an internationally accredited Diploma Certification in Nutrition. She has also been awarded in IEDUP Loqman International Awards - 2019 Chapter India (Supported by the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development, Government of UP) for excellent contribution to Forest Pathology and Entrepreneurship research.
