| About: | Prof. Sura is Professor of Oral Medicine. She graduated from Baghdad University in 1988 and joined as a faculty in Collage of Dentistry as she ranked third in her batch. Then she obtained a Master Degree in 1995 and a Doctoral Degree in 2005, both in Oral Medicine from Baghdad University, Iraq. She gained her Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Physician and Surgeon -MFDS RCPS( Glasg) in 2020. In 2010 she obtained the ICDL certificate from UNISCO. In 2012, Dr. Sura received her Diploma in Health Profession education from Gulf Medical University. In 2021 Prof. Sura obtained her Master degree in Health Professions Education (FIAMER). Dr. Sura has more than 30 years of teaching experience as a faculty in College of Dentistry, as she worked since graduation in College of dentistry, Baghdad University, and as adjunct faculty in University if Tikrit, Iraq. Dr, sura has taken several academic and administrative positions in Iraq and UAE. She was appointed as Head of departments, Associate Dean and Academic Associate Dean in college of Dentistry, Gulf Medical University, in addition, she had been assigned as a head of different committees in college of dentistry. Moreover, Dr. Sura is a licensed Oral Medicine specialist. She has provided consultation services in both governmental and private hospitals in Iraq, and in Thumbay Medcity UAE, in addition to her excellent participation in supervision of student’s clinical training in College of Dentistry. In research, Prof. Sura has over 38 publications in internationally recognized journals and her research focus on Oral Medicine domain and dermatology including muco-cutaneous lesions, oral lesions, orofacial pain, manifestation of systemic diseases and medically compromised patients.
