She pursued her Master of Science in Biotechnology from Government V.Y.P.T. College in Durg, Chhattisgarh, India, and her B.Ed. degree from Ghanshyam Singh Arya Kanya College, Aarya Nagar, Durg, Chhattisgarh. Prerna's expertise spans genetics, nanoparticles, biochemistry, and genetic engineering. Prerna is a lifetime member of the International Organization of Academic and Scientific Development (IOASD) and a reviewer for the journal East African Scholars Journal of Biotechnology and Genetics. She is also a lifetime member of The Indian Science Congress Association in Kolkata, India. She has authored three books and holds utility patents for innovative projects: "A chamber to detect radiation and a method to shower melanin to protect the user against radiation" and "AI-Powered Rural Enhancement System for Tackling Hunger & Ensuring Water Conservation through Smart Resource Management."
