| About: | Dr.P.M.Velmurugan has more than 16 years of experience in the Earth Sciences, Environmental Geochemistry and Climate Change for Coastal based natural resources management and conservation with special focus on mangrove wetlands and Paleoclimate studies. From May 2008 to November 2009 worked as a Project Scientist as well as Research Scholar in Tuticorin Port Trust Project at Department of Applied Geology, University of Madras. From February 2010 to June 2011 worked as Project Scientist at EMAS, Chennai. From 2011 to 2013 (Jan) working as a Guest Lecturer in the Department of Applied Geology, University of Madras, Guindy campus, Chennai. From Jan 2013 to till date he has been working as a Scientist-C for Center for Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The main responsibility is conducting training to scholars, scientist, government staffs, school students on Geospatial technology and involving to build institutional developments, publishing scientific works etc. |
