| About: | People across the African continent are facing trauma of insecurity ranging from violent crimes, terrorism and other threats to their lives. Security production and provision in major African countries is state-centric, wherefore plural policing needs to be entrenched especially in the sub-Sahara region. There is common assertion on security and sustainable development that there cannot be sustainable development without peace and security, and sustainable peace and security become impossible in the absence of development and poverty eradication. Ola’s research has focused on policing, security governance and plural policing in Africa. He is interested in exploring security fields in Sub-Sahara Africa, the role and influence of political class in the production of security, and the network of state, private and civil actors in steering and implementing security governance. He is currently researching on Security governance and sustainable development in Sub-Sahara Africa where threats to life, health, freedom, wealth and human rights unequivocally undermine development. Ola Kazeem Falodun is a PhD researcher at School of Languages, Law and Social Sciences of the Technological University Dublin. He is a member of Security and Policing Research Group, a member of International Association of Crime Analysts, a member of Chartered Institute of Forensic & Investigative Auditors, a fellow of the Institute of Management Specialist, a Fellow, Institute of Certified Cyber Security and Digital Forensic Analysts, a Member, Everyday Political Economy of Plural Policing (EPEPP) of University of Leeds, and a Member, European Association of Dev.
