| About: | Dr Showkat Maqbool did his MSc and Ph.D Statistics from Department of Statistics and Operations Research, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh in the year 2003 and joined the Sher-e- Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir in the year 2007 and presently working as Associate Professor Statistics in the Division of Agri- Statistics, Faculty of Horticulture, Shalimar, Srinagar. His field of specialization is Sampling Techniques, Mathematical Programming and Data Science and till date has co-supervised 08 Ph.D and 02 M Phil Statistics students. The author published more than 180 research papers in various international and national journals of repute and have attended 50 national and international conferences and served as chairman in various technical sessions during last 10 years. Presently having 10 research projects and was involved in 01 NATP research project from IASRI- ICAR New Delhi. Delivered 30 invited lectures in various conferences. The Author is also involved in various University activities like examination coding officer, Board of studies member, Academic Audit Committee member, Students Disciplinary Committee member, curriculum development and serving as Incharge ARIS and a member of University management system (UMS). Till date the author provided statistical consultation services to 100 Ph.D and 400 Msc Agriculture students and is involved in various refereeing and Editorial Board members of reputed Statistical journals. |
