| About: | Dr. Sameeullah Bhat received his B.Com in Commerce from Degree College Bemina, Srinagar, Kashmir, India, and his M.A and Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from the University of Kashmir, India respectively. His area of specialization is Islam and Pluralism, Islamic Mysticism: Origin and Development, Islam and Orientalism, Islam and the West, and Human Rights: Western and Islamic Traditions. He is the author of Islamic Historiography: Nature and Development - an exploration of Islamic tradition of history and historiography. Dr. Bhat has published numerous research papers in international peer-reviewed and indexed journals. Besides, he participated and presented in different national and international seminars and conferences. He is currently working as an Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies in the Department of Studies at the University of Kashmir, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India. |
