| About: | Dr. Asit Chakrabarti has completed his graduation (B.V.Sc & A.H.) from Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology, Bhubaneswar, Master’s (M.V.Sc) from CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hissar and Ph.D. from Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. He has over 36 years of experience in Livestock Production Management and in Science Communication. He has written and edited 8 books and 10 book chapters in respective field and published more than 600 research papers in national and international journal and 50 popular articles. Recipient of ICCB–MSET Gold Medal & Senior Scientist Award- 2013 Under Prof. Jwala Prasad Memorial Chair for outstanding research contribution for advancement of scientific knowledge in the field of Life Sciences and Fellow of ICCB- MSET. National Editor of Life Science Mirror (An International Biannual Journal of Life Sciences), South Asian Journal of Life Sciences, Journal of Agrisearch and reviewer of Indian Journal of Animal Research, Legume Research and International Journal of Zoology and Research. Fellow of ICCB-MSET and Life member of Recent Life Science Mirror, IAAVR, ISAPM, ISVM and Tripura Veterinary Association. Dr Chakrabarti, at present working as a Senior Scientist (LPM) at ICAR Research Complex for North Eastern Hill Region, Tripura Centre, India. He has also worked as Veterinary Assistant Surgeon and Director under Government of Tripura, Agartala, Assistant Professor at Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur, Scientist ‘C’ under Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi. |
