| About: | Dr.B. Deivasigamani earned his Ph.D. in Zoology from Madras University, Chennai (India) in 2002. In the period between 2005 and 2016, he was the Assistant Professor, 2017 to till date working as an Associate Professor and UGC-Research Awardee of the departments of Marine Biology and Fish Immunology, The Annamalai University, Chidambaram (India). He published extensively on the immunostimulatory compound in fish (e.g. Mugil cephalous). Three of his fish feed and bacteriophage-derived products have been filed for patents in International and National. From 2016 to 2018 he was a UGC-Research Awardee as a Researcher at the Centre for CAS in Marine Biology & Biotechnology, Parangipettai, Chidambaram (India). He received meritorious UGC-Research Awardee (2016-18), DST-SERB Young Scientist Awardee (2012), AWARD FOR INCREDIBLE RESEARCHER OF INDIA -2021 by Record Owner Delhi- 110009, India. (23.08.2021), Lifetime Dignitary Fellows (August 2021) by the International Organization for Academic and Scientific Development, OUTSTANDING FACULTY OF THE YEAR-2021. EET CRS Research Wings for excellence in professional education & industry present the 9th Branding Award July 2021 by Kolkata India. My area of research is fish immunology. He published 11 books, 10 manuals,s and more than 88 research papers in reputed International journals and 10 National journals. He was an editorial board member and reviewer of International Academic Journals and has Professional membership of the Indian Science Congress Association (Life member), the Journal of Environmental Biology, and the Journal of Aquatic Biology. He was identified with 75 16S ribosomal RNA gene, partial sequence. He completed two minor projects (UGC minor and TNSCST student project) and nine Major projects UGC, MoES, CSIR, DST-SERB, and Indo-Vietnam (DST-MOST)-An international collaborative project.
