He started his professional carrier as Assistant Professor cum Junior Scientists (Genetics and Plant Breeding) Agriculture College Garhwa, Birsa Agricultural University, Ranchi, Jharkhand. Dr. Kumar honored his B.Sc. honors in Agriculture from Visva-Bharati University, West Bengal and M.Sc. (Ag.) and PhD degree in Genetics and Plant Breeding from G. B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar. His PhD research was entitled Mapping drought tolerance using teosinte derived population of maize. He is academically excellent and got first class throughout the carrier. He published more than fifty publications in national and international repute including twenty-seven research papers, two lead papers, twenty-three book chapters, two edited book entitled “Wheat: A Premier Food Crop”, and “Classical & Molecular Approaches in Plant Breeding four popular article and more than twenty research abstracts in national and international seminar / Symposia to his credit. |
