Abstract:
Up to the present day, various developments have been arisen to improve the performance behavior of buildings. Diagrid system is an innovative structural system for high rise structures with its lattice like aesthetics and high-efficiency structural performance. Literally, the word “diagrid” is made of two words “diagonal” and “grid”. In this system, all exterior vertical columns are eliminated in contrast to conventional structural systems such as braced frames and framed-tube systems. The diagrid frame is subdivided into repetitive modules along the height and forms a diamond-shaped structure.
