| About: | Dr. G. V. Praveen is working as Professor and Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST), Hyderabad (Established in 1997; An Autonomous institution affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, NAAC A+ Grade, Recipient of World Bank Funding under TEQIP I 2004-09) & II (2012-16) phase and one of the top engineering institutes which is being well opted by the students in Telangana State). Prior to joining with SNIST-Hyderabad, Dr. Praveen worked as Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at SR Engineering College (presently converted into SR University), Warangal, Telangana State. He served SR Group of Engineering Institutions since inception of SR Engineering College (from August 2002 to Nov 2020) where he had held various academic, research and administrative responsibilities. He had been served as Principal for entire SR Group of Engineering Institutions viz., SR Engineering College, Sumathi Reddy Institute of Technology for Women, Varadha Reddy College of Engineering in Warangal District and SR International Institute of Technology at Hyderabad. He had also undertaken other academic/administrative responsibilities such as Dean (Administration), Dean (PG Programs), Academic Coordinator, Training and Placement Officer and Head of Civil Engineering Department. He had teaching experience at Deccan College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad and Regional Engineering College, Warangal (now known as National Institute of Technology, Warangal) prior to joining at SR Engineering College, Warangal. Dr. Praveen has expertise in the field of Geotechnical Engineering. He was the recipient of Indian Geotechnical Society (IGS) Award. He published 75 papers in national/international conferences/journals pertaining to the fields of Civil Engineering, Science & Technology and Engineering Education.
