Abstract:
Management study of RSW, Aleurodicus rugioperculatus Martin (Aleyrodidae, Hemiptera) was carried
out by using 5 different EPFs during, Rabi 2020-21 and Summer 2021 in coconut orchard. A total of 24
plants were selected in 3 replications, using the RCBD experiment with 4 population count intervals (1
DBS, 1 DAS, 7 DAS, 14 DAS) and statistical analysis was carried out, by using SPSS 2.0 Software.
Summarizing the result, the mortality was significantly found greater at 14 DAS, rather than at any
other intervals. During Rabi 2020 - 2021, the maximal decrease in the RSW population was found at
14 DAS i.e., 0.20 egg spirals, 1.08 nymphs, and 0.57 adults per leaflet, against 2.86 spirals, 18.24
nymphs and 13.48 adults per leaflet, respectively at 1DBS, in Isaria fumosorosea @ 5 g L-1. Likewise,
during Summer 2021, the reduction seen at 14 DAS i.e., 0.82 egg spirals, 4.12 nymphs, and 1.89 adults
per leaflet in Isaria fumosorosea @ 5 g L-1 was highest, against 10.50 spirals, 73.16 nymphs and 32.69
adults per leaflet, respectively at 1DBS. The percent reduction of egg spiral during Rabi and Summer
was highest in Isaria fumosorosea @ 5 g L-1 (95.72 % and 94.40 %). Likewise, the percent reduction of
nymphs was highest in Isaria fumosorosea @ 5 g L-1 i.e., 97.52 % in Rabi and 96.01 % in Summer.
Similarly, the maximal decrease in adults was seen in Isaria fumosorosea @ 5 g L-1 i.e., 98.38 % in Rabi
and 96.10% in Summer, followed by Lecanicillium lecanii @ 5 g L-1 i.e., 92.63 % in Rabi and 85.17 % in
Summer, respectively. Among all the treatments, Isaria fumosorosea @ 5 g L-1 and Nomuraea rileyi @
4 g L-1, were found to be the best and worst performing treatments, respectively.
