Abstract:
Detoxification enzymes play critical roles in gene manipulation regarding insecticide metabolism. Various molecular strategies like RNAi, CRISPR cas9 genome editing, TALEN, etc. can be utilized to alter the gene expression that is responsible for the regulation of enzymatic functions to degrade the insecticides so that the target insect can be killed with the specific pesticide and the host plant will be saved from pest attack.
