| About: | As a man of Fine Arts, I dealt research works on the basis of arts and crafts of North-Eastern region of India where the tribal and traditional artworks are being discussed in several publications. I am actively engaged in the teaching and research programme since 2002. I have been awarded and achieved on different types of projects on an amount of Rs. 44,00,000/- (appx.) in 10(ten) ten years from the various national funding agencies like UGC, ICSSR, ICHR, Ministry of Textiles – New Delhi. I have been contributed a good number of papers which were published in various journals and my publications were documented on the basis of field studies and the collected materials from the site. Again, the collected materials became the assets of one museum which is known as PRATIBHA MUSEUM – A Centre for Research and Training at Agartala, Tripura. Now a day, I am working for a D.Litt. programme on the topic of Fabrics, Motifs & Designs in North-Eastern Region of India: A Modern Context where a healthy discussion held on the idea and approach of the attires of different tribal communities of North-Eastern region of India. The introduced motif and designs of this region would be placed in a comparative manner. I have been displayed my original artworks in the different parts of India in the form of 21(Twenty-One) nos. solo exhibitions and 25(Twenty-Five) group exhibitions. The leading newspapers of India such as The Statesman, Time of India, Bombay Times, The Hindu, The Indian Express, The Asian Age, Shimla Time, Naba Bharat Times, I-Next, etc. were covered my artworks and stories in different metropolitan cities and other states. One book was published in the year of 2015 and that was collected in the library of Singapore University. I have been invited CCRT – Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India, New Delhi to demonstrate the lectures on the variety of programmes in connection with the development of art and crafts of North-Eastern region of India.
