An experiment was conducted to study genetic variability and correlation in gladiolus for economically important traits in Bundelkhand conditions of Uttar Pradesh. The experiment comprised of fifteen varieties of gladiolus planted in RBD with three replications at College of Horticulture, BUAT, Banda during 2019-20.Analysis of variance revealed significant differences for all the characters, indicating considerable amount of variability among the genotypes. Plant height ranged from 74.93 cm to 105.47 cm, spike length ranged from 67.07 cm to 89.93 cm and corm weight varied from 39.97 g to 100 g. Mean value for days taken to opening of first floret,plant height and days taken to spike emergenceis 93.48 days,89.59 cm and 76.71days, respectively. High values for PCV and GCV were recorded innumber of cormels per plant (79.52 and 60.04) and weight of cormels per plant (70.27 and 47.62) respectively. Heritability value was found maximum in number of corms per plant (90.64) and minimum in number of florets opened at one time (9.69).Days taken to spike emergence exhibited highly significant and positive correlation with days taken to opening of first floret; significant and positive correlation with number of leaves per plant, plant height and corm weight. Plant height exhibited highly significant and positive correlation with spike length and rachis length. Corm diameter showed highly significant and positive correlation with corm weight.
