| About: | My expertise is in the formulation of new green methodologies employing structure directing agents namely Deep Eutectic Solvents (DES), Ionic Liquids (ILs) and Functionalized ILs to engineer the band gap and quantum efficiency of various semiconductors like ZnO, TiO2, CdS, Fe2O3, Fe3O4, BiVO4 to mention a few. The study of interplay factors between different morphologies, physico-chemical properties and quantum efficiency of photocatalysts towards degradation of various pollutants present in water are other interests. The photocatalysts with enhanced efficiency transformed to recyclable semiconductors by immobilizing them on various supports or by incorporating magnetic separation function. |
