| About: | Professor Hossam Shawky (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.), The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – Sharjah Branch – UAE, obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (Power Section), Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt, 1994, M.Sc., and Ph.D., degree in Applied Mathematics from the Faculty of Engineering- Alexandria University – Egypt, in 2001 and 2006 respectively. He was teaching Assistant (Teaching and Research) at Alexandria University- Faculty of Engineering- Egypt for 4 years before joining The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in January 1998. At The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport- main campus- Alexandria- Egypt, Professor Hossam Shawky worked at the College of Engineering and Technology- Department of Basic and Applied Science (Teaching, Research, Courses development and coordination, academic advisory, shared in preparation for obtaining local and international accreditations). He was the Vice Dean for Student affairs- College of Engineering and Technology from March 2014 till March 2016, Assistant President for Student Affairs from April 2016 till May 2016 and then the Dean of Student Affairs from May 2016 till September 2019. In September 2019, He moved to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, new campus in Sharjah- Khorfakkan City- UAE. He was the Head of Basic and Applied Science Department. He shared in preparing the file for initial accreditation that approved from the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA)- UAE. He is member of many professional bodies. His main fields areas of interest are, Fluid Mechanics (Magnetohydroddynamics (MHD), Water Waves), Heat and Mass Transfer (Heat Convection, Heat Conduction), Mathematical Physics (Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations, Lie-Group method).
