| About: | Dr. Tijjani Muhammad developed a profound interest in Islamic banking and finance upon recognizing the versatility and increased acceptance of the Islamic financial system, particularly following the global financial crisis of 2007. Over the past ten years, his work experience at Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State, Nigeria, has been both exhilarating and demanding, fueling his relentless dedication to studying and practicing Islamic banking and finance at Federal University, Gashua, Yobe State. Tijjani was inspired by philanthropic specialists dedicated to addressing financial challenges faced by Muslim communities in developing and developed countries. This experience motivated him to promote understanding of basic Islamic finance through lectures and social media engagements. He actively supports and volunteers at the university, lecturing students from the Economics and Development Studies and Islamic Studies Departments, and has witnessed firsthand the growing acceptance of Islamic microfinance among vulnerable communities for Shariah-compliant products. Tijjani's academic journey includes participating in conferences, seminars, and online classes in Islamic banking and finance, which facilitated interactions with experts and fueled his research interests. He has published over 50 journals and working on several including books towards addressing contemporary issues in Islamic finance. Dr. Tijjani secured several grants Includes Institutional Based Research (IBR) funded by the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (Tetfund) in Nigeria and the North-East Development Commission MCRP project which was funded by the World Bank. Outside academia, Tijjani enjoys coding using HTML, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL to develop applications and websites. His pursuit of knowledge extends to completing courses at Cambridge Islamic Finance, Alhuda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics (CIBE), and the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM).
