| About: | Associate Professor Dr Engineer Salah Alkafaji, holds a PhD in Management Information Systems (MIS) from London College- University College Kensington (UK) 2003. Master's degree in Computer Engineering (MSc) from London College- University College Kensington (UK) 1999, and Bachelor's degree in Computer Control Engineering (BSc) from the University of Technology (Iraq) 1984. Dr Alkhafaji has experience of more than 32 years in IT&IS specialising in both industrial and higher education fields. He has more than 15 years of industrial experience, and more than 18 years of experience in higher education institutions' administration, management, and teaching activities. He held several academic and industrial administration positions: 1- Currently head of the postgraduate studies and research department-Sur at University College (SUC) since 2016. 2- General Academic Advisor-SUC since 2014 3- Assistant dean for students and administrative affairs - SUC for more than (4) years. 4- Head of Information and Technology department - SUC for more than (5) years. 5- Acting Head of Information and Technology department - SUC for more than (1) year. 6- IT manager (CIO) for (6) years, at Iraq Industrial Corporations 7- Computer control engineer for more than (9) years, at Iraq Industrial Corporations. He chaired several college-level committees as follows: 1- Information technology & network centre. 2- Teaching / Learning Resource Committee. 3- Orientation Week & Advising Committee. 4- Research Committee. 5- Graduation & Year Book Committee. 6- Disciplinary Committee and Students Grievance Committee. And Member of the following committees: 1- College Academic Board, Quality Assurance and Risk Management Committee, 2- Internal Audit Committee, Employment Committee and Promotion Committee.
