| About: | I hold a Ph.D. in management in the interdisciplinary area of OB/HRM domain; a master’s degree in management with marketing specialization; bachelor’s degree in sciences. I am qualified in University Grants Commission (UGC) of India’s National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship in the area of ‘management science’. Spanning twenty-nine years of rich and diverse experience, I have worked with some of the leading marketing consulting firms including IMRB International; AC Nielsen ORG-MARG; Scope International; Marketshare Pvt Ltd, Singapore. Currently, I hold the position of Professor & HOD for the Department of Fashion Management Studies at NIFT, Hyderabad. As part of my stint with NIFT, I served as placement coordinator for 6 years from 2007-2013 and as coordinator & nodal officer for international linkages from 2011-2014. I am associated with NIFT for the past seventeen years. I executed 40 odd major marketing research and consulting mandates during my stint with various reputed consulting companies. I handled life cycle projects for many client companies of national and international repute. Areas of specialisation include marketing research; policy research; monitoring & evaluation studies. Business sectors involved include Services; FMCG; Industrial Products. Led profit centers for Marketshare Pvt Ltd, Singapore as India representative; and Southern Head for B2B division for AC Nielsen ORG-MARG. Handled team sizes as big as 30 people at a time and guided many student project works. The institutes I worked with include Alluri Institute of Management Sciences; ICFAI, Hyderabad. I conducted executive development and marketing training programs as part of APITCO Ltd. I obtained an IPR (Geographical Indication) for Nirmal Craft in 2008 as part of a Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) project and conducted a design development and product diversification workshop.
