| About: | Aditi Deka Pathak, MFA in Painting from Raja Mansingh Tomar Music and Arts University, Gwalior, M.P., M.A. in Political Science from Gauhati University and a Doctoral Scholar in Visual Arts from Assam Central University, Silchar, Assam is a Visual Artist, sculptor, installation artist, art evaluator, founder and director of the Adete Arts Academy, Guwahati, Assam. Her areas of research are contemporary art, abstract art, manuscript painting, traditional painting etc. She is well known for her artistic works, luminous cover paintings and art ideas. She has actively participated in many regional, National and International Painting Workshops, Exhibitions, Seminars, Webinars and Conferences. Apart from India her paintings are exhibited in abroad like Myanmar, Israel, Singapore, Thailand, Bangladesh etc. Her research papers and research articles are published in many Regional, State, National and International publications and journals. She has penned down two books namely "Art in Variegated forms of Natural and Cultural Beauty: Asom" (Published from Kolkata, 2008), "Painting Depicting Cultural Realism: Arunachal (Published from Kolkata, 2007) and edited the volume "The History and Art of India: Prospect and Retrospect" (Published from New Delhi, 2021, Vidya Kutir Publications, ISBN-978-81-948426-8-2). She has achieved the honour of Savitribai Phule National Award, 2009, Global Outreach Education Award 2019, Mewadev Laurel Award, 2019, Genius Educationist Award 2020 etc. for her excellence in visual arts and innovative research. She has bagged the prestigious "International Golden Award" conferred by "Deep Daan Foundation", Lucknow, Approved by Niti Aayog and ISO certified for her outstanding research i.e. "Ethnic Art of Assam : The Mishings of Majuli".
