Abstract:
Abstract: This research investigates the potential of water ferns (Salvinia) as a natural sorbent for oil spills. The experiment assessed the effectiveness of water ferns in absorbing used engine oil in a controlled environment. The findings indicate that water ferns can absorb oil spills, with the leaves changing color as they absorb the oil. Further research is recommended to evaluate their effectiveness in real-world oil spill scenarios.
