Abstract:
– Self-Compacting Concrete (SCC) has emerged as a game-changing innovation in the realm of concrete technology, redefining the way we approach construction processes. This research investigates the influence of fiber reinforcement on the compressive strength of M20 concrete mixes after a 28-day curing period. Two types of fibers, namely glass and steel, were incorporated into the concrete at varying percentages (0.3% and 0.5%). Compressive strength tests were conducted, and the results revealed a substantial improvement in both load-bearing capacity and stress resistance with the addition of fibers. The study underscores the potential of fiber reinforcement as an effective strategy for enhancing the mechanical properties of M20 concrete, providing valuable insights for the development of more resilient and durable construction materials.
