Abstract: Increasing cases and fatalities of Dengue fever in endemic areas have raised more concerns on the need for global initiatives and partnerships in a bid to find lasting solutions. This mini -review study was conducted with the aim of finding the needed wisdom and perspective from Global practices, for particular national and local regions and countries battling the growing challenges of Dengue fever outbreaks. It establishes the evident intersection among health, social progress, peace and development with consequent implications on governance. It concludes that the needed partnership and collaborations have lately pointed more in the direction of effectively exploring science, communication, and understanding of human behavior to win the fight against the disease. The study also underscores inherent limitations as a result of costs and standardization, as well as the search for the prevention and control of the mosquito vectors. Even in the face of cheering news in the fight against the dengue virus, there are still barriers to progress in the reality that dengue fever manifests as four different viruses that must be tackled differently. Findings include the reality that predominant approaches of vector control and traditional surveillance even though effective, are expensive and hampered by delay because some countries do not have routine vector control measures and national epidemiological surveillance systems. The study concludes that all is not lost as there are cases of effective management that may provide the needed wisdom and perspective if others are willing to pursue vigorous information and awareness initiatives and be committed to bottom -up approaches in tackling the menace of dengue.
